This has been the best move ever. After packing all of our stuff up and moving a bizillion times this last year, this time it was great. Boeing sent people out to our apartment and on Tuesday they put everything in Boxes, Wednesday they put all of our stuff on a truck and picked up our car to be shipped, and then on Thursday we got on a plane and flew into Seattle. Hello!! AWESOME!!! After we landed in Seattle we picked up our rental car (also a courtesy of Boeing) and headed for downtown Seattle before we went to our hotel. We ate at a great local place called Ivar's on a pier on the Sound and then fed the Seagulls our leftover french fries. They would swoop down and take them right out of your hand. I screamed every time because it scared me so bad, but I loved it at the same time. We ended up throwing out most of the fries and they would catch them right out the air (I could only handle a few times of them taking it out of my hand.... seriously, it was so scary). Needless to say, Ben loved every moment of watching the Seagulls. Not much really scares him, so it was fun.
(I couldn't get the pictures in the right order... drives me crazy)

Now we are looking for an apartment here, so the move isn't completely over. We just hope and pray we can find a place that is perfect and that we can afford. We'll keep ya'll posted.

I can't believe you guys are gone... I am sad we didn't get to say goodbye, and I feel like Ben and Leah are going to miss each other. We are going to try and fit a trip to Seattle this summer to visit, amidst our life-changing decisions. I am jealous about your easy move. If nothing else, graduating from college is worth it, if you never have to move yourselves again! Good luck finding a good place to live!
Wow-- just looking at the pictures of you guys sitting outside at Ivar's brings back memories!!! :o) We love Seattle! We didn't live in Seattle, but a place called Puyallup-in Pierce County (near Tacoma)-- south of Seattle. We would just travel up to Seattle for the day on the weekends every now and then. We love Pike's Place Market (especially the fish throwers-- you'll know what I mean when you see it! :o) We also love seeing the Space Needle and all that's around there. Pacific Science Center is a blast-- Something Ben will love when he's a little older. Oh, and there's a shop right along the waterfront-- probably real close the Ivar's you were at that's called...? I think it's the Old Curiosity Shop--if I'm remembering right.... it's got some.... interesting things :o) It's a must see! There's all sorts of fun fairs and things going on in the summer time in Seattle-- like Sea Fair, etc. I'm so happy for you guys to be out there. The one huge downer is the cost of living... ugh. Good luck. There's no way we'd be able to afford living out there. We're in a 3 bdrm home here, but in IL cost of living is a different story. These are my thoughts: I know that just about anything in Pierce County will be much cheaper than anything in King County. (at least this is how it was in 2005 when we lived there) The problem with that is, Boyd's commute will be looong. Good luck-- I'm sure you'll find something you'll love and that's just right for you guys!!! That's awesome that Boeing did all the moving for you--how nice!!! Enjoy this fun transition time-- it's a blast! Good luck with everything-- we're thinking of you out there enjoying the water and all the green-- oh how we miss it!!! (sorry I wrote you a book!)

I love the pics!! Your face is priceless. I remember you making that face often as a kid when I would try to get you to do something you didn't want to. Ha ha, memories.
That is the best move ever!! Let me know if you have trouble finding an apartment, my best friend lives in a suburb just north of seattle and she may have some ideas about where you should look. Her husband goes to school at UW.
Beau would love to move me to Washington! I hope you like it there! And things go good for you guys!
Once you upload your pictures you can drag them to whatever spot you want on the page before you post- just so you know
And I can't believe you don't have our blog listed under friends on your blog. I thought Kaylee was Ben's girlfriend after all ;)
Oh the hired movers are the BEST!! Glad you guys are safely there in Seattle, looks like you'll have lots of fun things to go do. Good luck apt. hunting!
Oh my goodness!!! Ben is soooo cute!! Seattle is such a fun place w/the board walk and feeding the seagulls french fries and hoping they don't take your hand off. That is what you are thinking in that picture- i can tell. ;)
Cant wait to hear about all of the fun stuff there in WA. We miss you here!!!
That sounds like the nicest move ever! I want one! haha Hopefully we will get our day in four more years... Ben is adorable Kathryn!! And his hair is so blond! I miss you so so so so so much!
Ok, TOTALLY jealous! I wish we had had a move like that. :) And for some reason, I think flying is such a blast--one day we'll travel somewhere again. :) Hope you guys are liking Seattle!
