So... I don't really have a lot of pictures to show off, but I thought it was about time that I give a little update on what's going on with us. We are moved in and settled into a great little apartment in Mukilteo Washington. Mukilteo is about 20 to 30 minutes north of downtown Seattle. We are five minutes from Boeing in Everett where Boyd works, which is so nice to be so close. Boyd is actually riding his bike to work most of the time, which is awesome. Not only is he picking up a new hobby and getting in shape, we're saving money on gas. There is also a grocery store pretty close and when I'm feeling like I really want to fit in here in Seattle, then I stick Ben in the bike trailer and we ride the bike to the grocery store. It's kind of a hassle, but it's more fun than anything. I love Mukilteo though. It's pretty quiet here and there are great views of the sound right down the street from us and our favorite little fish and chips shack is super close.
We haven't had a lot of time to get out a do a ton of stuff because Boyd has been super busy at work. Right after he started some executive person made a decision that everyone in the program that Boyd is in will have mandatory overtime. Meaning they work 10 hours monday through Friday and 8 hours on Saturday and Sunday. Boyd told them he wouldn't be able to work the sunday hours, but he's pretty much there all the time on the other days.
Anyways, besides the fact that Boyd is having to work a ton of overtime we are loving it here. We have good friends already which is a huge blessing, and it's just a pretty area. We are missing the nice hot summers in Arkansas. We've been spoiled for the past two summers spending every saturday on Beaver Lake. We love the lake.
Ben is cuter than ever and picking up so many new things so quickly lately. I love it. Anytime we sit at the table he puts his hands together waiting for us to pray and then when the prayer is over he yells out something that I assume is "amen." He's saying a lot of new words too. He's finally saying "mommy" (for the longest time he was calling me daddy :) and he says thank you, and doggy all the time. I'm going to post the picture my friend took of him for Fathers' day. It's pretty cute.

Awwwww . . . that picture is just adorable. It's a great idea, too . . . I wish I'd taken pictures of my boys in Daddy's clothes. I guess it's not too late, only Truman is almost big enough for the clothes to look like the DO fit him.
I loved this post! Thanks for letting us know how you're doing! It stinks about all the overtime hours, but hopefully you're getting overtime pay??? Good job on saying "no" to the Sunday thing, Boyd! Boeing needs to take a leaf out of Chik-fil-A's book and not be open on Sunday :).

Good job updating your blog! Guess what? We found a new place- a townhouse which is in our ward bounderies in a neighborhood. It's great!
He is such a cutie! Your new town seems perfect for you! I think the northwest fits you nicely. Very earthy and there is so much nature! haha you have no problem with bugs

hey kathryn! glad to hear you love it in washington! that stinks that boyd has to work so much, but what are you gonna do? i'm glad you have a lake near by that you can go to on the weekends...so nice! we're excited rigby lake is finally open!!
