A couple weekends ago we were able to drive up to Canada and go to the Vancouver Temple open house. We went with a group of people from our ward and it was just awesome. I feel so blessed that we were able to make it up there and that Ben and Chase were able to go see it too. This is actually the second open house that Ben has been to. We were living in Rexburg during the Rexburg Temple open house, so yeah... We were able to take Ben to see that temple too.
Anyways... I thought this was one of the most beautiful small scale temples that I have ever seen. Actually, I think I said that same thing about the Rexburg Temple when we saw that. But honestly, the rooms were amazing and the peaceful feeling walking through is just... nice. I love that Ben was able to go. He still talks about it and says, "Mommy, I don't want to go to church, I want to go to the Temple." Well, Okay Ben!
Here are some of the pictures we took. After we went to the open house we drove up to Vancouver (the Temple is actually about 30 minutes south of Vancouver). We've never been there and it was kind of cool. There doesn't seem like a ton to do there (especially with two kids), but we went to "Stanley Park" which is a huge park in the middle of the city that is on the coast. The Tide was way low and there were a ton of these purple and pink Star fish on all the rocks. It was one of the coolest low tides I've ever seen. And funny... we didn't even plan on meeting the Leavitts there and they just happened to see our car parked, they pulled up and came out and found us on the Beach. It was fun. And afterwards we went to Sonic!! There just happened to be a Sonic on our way home from Vancouver and it's the only Sonic I've seen out here in Washington. We were way excited and we loaded up on their toaster sandwiches and amazing drinks. Overall... it was a great day.

Chase really is so cute. I think I have a crush on him too. We'll have to introduce him to Emily someday. :) (I mean...re-introduce of course.)
