Eye Surgery... And my mom came!!

So... I had Cataract Surgery on my eyes the week before Thanksgiving. I know... I have eyes of a 70 year old Woman. Everyone in the Doctor's office and in the surgery center couldn't get over the fact that I'm only 27 and I have Cataracts. I guess it's a family thing because my mom and my brother had them super young too. My vision has been really foggy and it's gotten a lot worse within the last year or two... so I decided it was time to get it fixed. I'm just glad that there is a surgery that can fix it. I was well on my way to being blind and I'm not even 30. Thank you Doctor Solomon for fixing my eyes (although I wanted to rip his head off the first few hours after surgery because I felt like someone had taken a screw driver to my head). It is pretty amazing though. By the next day I was for the most part back to life... I could even drive. Anyways... I can see much clearer now! And BONUS... I convinced my mom that she needed to come out and hold my hand through the whole thing (and take care of Ben and Chase). It was awesome because I was able to show her all around Charleston. Thanks mom!
Me getting prepped for the Surgery. My mom and Boyd were there to take care of me the first week (Right Eye) and Boyd was there with me the next week for my left eye (my mom had to head home). On the second picture you can see my super dilated eye... crazy.

My mom taking pictures of Ben and Chase at the fountain downtown. Isn't she so cute!
Ben and Nana!

My mom took me and Boyd out to eat... Thanks mom.
I took my mom to Boone Hall Plantation and it just so happened that there was a Civil War reenactment that day... cool.
This lady talked about the Gullah culture. Her presentation was awesome and I learned a lot.
